ABOUT EIVIN
Eivin Kilcher is a third-generation Alaskan homesteader who grew up learning the art of self-reliance from his parents and extended family on the rugged land his grandfather pioneered. By adulthood, he had mastered the essential skills to live off the land—building, hunting, welding, and foraging—and began crafting his own homestead, starting with a single cabin. Known worldwide from Alaska: The Last Frontier (2011–2022), Eivin is celebrated for his ingenuity and adventurous spirit, whether restoring vintage machinery, flying a bush plane to catch wild salmon, or turning reclaimed materials into practical tools.
Today, Eivin shares real-world homesteading, DIY projects, and wilderness adventures through digital storytelling, inspiring makers, adventurers, and off-grid dreamers alike. A dedicated husband and father, he and his wife, Eve, raise their two children, Findlay and Sparrow Rose, alongside their Catahoula Leopard Dogs, Tonsai and Tazzy, embracing every challenge and joy of life in Alaska’s wild frontier.
